Year 1130. In your Viking village, an assembly is about to be held to elect the new king, and your victory could be threatened by your opponent. As the days pass, you will have to divide your time between the clans and the circle of sages to receive the votes that will ensure your election. At the end of the game, the sages will vote and choose a winner.
Thingstead is a two-player competitive game by Scott Almes.
Players take turns completing one action at a time. The available actions are:
- Play a card to Thingstead to influence an Elder.
- Play a card to a Clan to gain followers and special powers.
The game ends when: A player has blocked 3 Elder cards or the draw deck is empty and both players have run out of cards. To calculate the final score, players add up the points earned for influencing Elders and for each Clan they control.
